Dūratissaka

Dūratissaka：A tank in Rohana，near Mahāgāma．Meghavannābhaya，minister of Mahāsena，leading a revolt against the king，once encamped on its bank （Mhv.xxxvii.18）．Saddhātissa built a vihāra near by （Mhv.xxxiii.9）．Mahānāga gave to the ascetics one thousand fields watered by the tank （Cv.xli.99； see Cv.Trs.i.62，n.1），and Parakkamabāhu I，repaired the tank （Cv.lxxix.32）．Geiger thinks （Mhv．Trs.248，n.5） that Dūratissa-vāpi is probably identical with Dūravāpi.
