Jātipūjaka Thera

Jātipūjaka Thera：An arahant．On the day of Vipassī Buddha’s birth many miracles occurred，and soothsayers predicted that he would be a Buddha．Jātipūjaka，hearing this，offered him jasmine flowers．Three kappas ago he became king thirty-four times under the name of Supāricariya （Ap．i．154）．

He is probably identical with Samitigutta．ThagA．i．176．
