Sañchinna
Sañchinna,[pp.of sañchindati] Vin.I,255 (of the kaṭhina,with samaṇḍalīkata “hemmed”).Also in cpd.°patta “with leaves destroyed” is Nd2 reading at Sn.44 (where T.ed.& SnA 91 read saṁsīna),as well as at Sn.64 (in similar context,where T.ed.reads sañchinna).The latter passage is expld (Nd2 625) as “bahula-pattapalāsa saṇḍa-cchāya,” i.e.having thick & dense foliage.The same meaning is attached to sañchinna-patta at VvA.288 (with v.l.saṁsīna!),thus evidently in sense of sañchanna.The C.on Sn.64 (viz.SnA 117) takes it as sañchanna in introductory story.(Page 669)
