Sereyyaka Thera
Sereyyaka Thera:An arahant.In the time of Vipassī Buddha he,was a learned brahmin,and,seeing the Buddha in the forest,offered him sereyyaka (sirīga) flowers,which formed a canopy over the Buddha’s head.Fifteen kappas ago he was king twenty five times under the name of Cīnamāla.Ap.i.155; cf.Kassapa (ThagA.i.178).
