Ujuññā
Ujuññā:A district and a town in Kosala.
Once when the Buddha was staying at the Deer Park in Kannakatthala in the neighbourhood of the city,Pasenadi,who happened to be at Ujuññā on business,visited the Buddha.On this occasion was preached theKannakatthala Sutta (M.ii.125ff; MA.ii.757).
It was here too that Nigantha Kassapa came to see the Buddha.This visit is recorded in theKassapa Sīhanāda Sutta.D.i.161ff.
