cāla thera
Cāla Thera:Son of Cālā and nephew of Sāriputta.He was ordained by Khadiravaniya-Revata (Thag.vs.42; ThigA.i.110).
He is mentioned as living at the Kūtāgārasālā,which place he left when the Licchavis caused disturbance by their visits to the Buddha (A.v.133).In this context he is spoken of as a very eminent Elder and was,therefore,evidently an arahant.
