189 (1) The Noble Path

“Bhikkhus, I will teach you the noble path and the ignoble path. Listen and attend closely And what, bhikkhus, is the ignoble path? The destruction of life... and wrong view. This is called the ignoble path.

“And what, bhikkhus, is the noble path? Abstention from the destruction of life and right view. This is called the noble path.”

“And what, bhikkhus, is the Dhamma not to be realized? The destruction of life and wrong view. This is called the Dhamma not to be realized.

“And what, bhikkhus, is the Dhamma to be realized? Absten- tion from the destruction of life and right view. This is called the Dhamma to be realized.”
